Shona translation services
Shona, or chiShona is an official language of Zimbabwe and 80% of the population speaks this language, besides English and Ndebele. All the bordering countries of Zimbabwe speak Shona. Shona is also spoken in South Africa, just as Ndebele.
The language is taught in schools but it is not the main language used in education. It has four major dialects: Karanga, Zezuru, Manyika and Korekore, and many minor ones; all these dialects are equally important for the speakers.
The British colonialists tried to persuade the Shona speakers that it is very impolite to use the vernacular language in public. This is why some of the Shona are still ashamed to speak their language. However, they still respect their traditions and culture and they are trying to keep them intact. Under the influence of foreign languages Shona keeps changing especially in its written form.
New Lingo is here to offer translations made by native speakers of this language. As we are always up to date with the latest changes in the language, our translations are accurate, idiomatically written and on time. We specialised in document translation, technical translation, website translation, legal translation and financial translation.
